Program Steps

Your care pathway

1

Initial visit

The program begins with a comprehensive medical history. We review your health, medications, prior treatment efforts, eating patterns, exercise, and medical conditions that may affect weight management.

2

Lab work at Quest

Lab work is ordered through Quest Labs to evaluate metabolic health and identify medical issues that may influence treatment choices.

3

Second visit

At the follow-up visit, we discuss your lab results and create a personalized treatment program based on your medical needs and weight-loss goals.

4

Prescription treatment if appropriate

If medically appropriate, treatment may include prescription GLP-1 therapy or related medications as part of your plan.

Medication Access

Coverage and medication options

We work with insurance companies using CoverMyMeds to help obtain approval for medication payment. We prepare the information needed for prior authorization review and help patients navigate coverage issues.

  • Support with insurance approval for GLP-1 treatment when indicated
  • If insurance denies coverage, we work with Lilly and Novo to help supply medication at reduced cost when available
  • Oral semaglutide tablets may be prescribed when appropriate
  • When retatrutide becomes available, we plan to work with Lilly regarding this option

Medication choice depends on your medical history, lab results, treatment goals, contraindications, product availability, and insurance criteria.

Why this program is different

This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Your care is based on medical evaluation, lab review, and an individualized plan rather than simply prescribing medication alone.

  • Medical review of conditions that may contribute to weight gain
  • Careful review of lab results before treatment decisions
  • Discussion of both injectable and oral treatment options
  • Support with insurance and reduced-cost manufacturer pathways when possible

Goal of treatment

The goal is to develop a safe, practical, and medically appropriate plan for long-term weight management.

Treatment may include lifestyle strategies, structured follow-up, and medication options based on your clinical situation.

We focus on realistic care, close review, and helping patients overcome access barriers whenever possible.

Physician-guided, personalized, and access-focused

Our weight loss program combines medical evaluation, laboratory assessment, individualized planning, and medication access support to help patients move forward with care that is both clinically appropriate and practical in the real world.

Important note: Medication prescribing, insurance approval, reduced-cost programs, and future drug availability vary by diagnosis, payer rules, manufacturer programs, and current supply. All treatment decisions are made on an individual medical basis.
